I have recently had my braces tightened, resulting in very sore teeth. This poses some difficulties when you want to eat food, even toast. On this visit to Arakawa I thought I may be on a very restricted diet, but the chefs there were happy to suggest alternatives for me.
Thinly sliced sashimi was a start, however I didn’t expect the Nattō to be so hard on my teeth, perhaps a result of the cold (I believe it is frozen). Overall, the best dish for me ended up being Agedashi Tofu, due to its soft nature.
