Qantas First Class Lounge, June 2016

While my primary reason for starting this blog was the publication of food porn focusing on natto, my life takes in so much more than just one super ingredient. Thus, while natto will always have pride of place in this blog, you should expect to see other delicious looking food posted as well.

My entry today comes by way of the Qantas Airways First Class Lounge in Sydney. On a recent visit there I had a memorable lunch, and snapped away as the dishes made it to the table. Lunch doesn’t always have to be a heavy meal with large portions, instead on this day I chose two entrées and a dessert. The “fresh bocconcini with heirloom tomatoes, basil and balsamic vinegar” is always a favourite, while the new addition, “sticky pork salad with shallots, beanspouts and pomelo” offered a delicious new taste to savour. Rounding off the lunch, the “apple butter cake with milk lemonade sherbet” was tart and sweet at the same time.
